You can request deletion of your Argentum News account and the data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what may be retained.
How to request deletion
By email (available now):
- From the email address you registered with, write to privacy@argentum.app with the subject “Delete my Argentum account”.
- We verify the request came from the account's own address (we may reply once to confirm — we will never ask for your password).
- Your account and associated data are deleted within 30 days, and we confirm by email when it is done.
In the app: an in-app “Delete account” option is coming in an upcoming update. Until then, email is the supported method.
What is deleted
- Your account (login email and credentials).
- Your portfolio holdings and their change history.
- Your watchlist and personalization data linked to the account (e.g. investor profile settings synced with your account).
- Your push-notification registration tokens.
- Our record linking your account to a subscription.
What may be retained
- Purchase/billing records held by Google Play and our payments processor (RevenueCat) are governed by their policies and by tax/accounting law; deleting your Argentum account does not cancel an active Google Play subscription — manage that in Play subscriptions.
- Device-local data (preferences, cached news) lives only on your device — uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes it.
- Minimal records we are legally required to keep, for no longer than required.
